Although the name Luke Anderson may be unfamiliar to you, Luke has been a DJ on the circuit since the early 2000’s when Grime and Old School Garage was the big sound. In this period under the alias Shot/E, Luke Anderson built up an extensive collection of House and Garage music on the vinyl format and played out at raves and pirate radio stations including Area night club in Watford and London’s leading Ministry of Sound this enabled him to refine his mixing technique which can be described as technical creativity. Becoming increasingly frustrated with the scene particularly the vibe and quality of music released, Luke decided to take a break until 2010 when he decided to fight against the direction the House and Garage scene was moving in (No depth, too much commercialism and skank tunes). In 2010 Luke became a part of the Mr Man PR Team (led by Obi the promoter) the team responsible for Ostinato, Our House and Housemania. Put simply ‘Luke Anderson’ is the real deal his music collection is deep yet versatile and can take you back to garage music’s hay day 1995 all the way up to the latest Funky, soulful, electro and minimal House banger with a touch of Grime in-between.
